yeh i found it really good it is very fine though, not sure what sort of sand it is though

Probably the same stuff I use at work - a black mineral sand product called Stauralite. Contains no sillicates & is an approved blasting media.

Not quite as good as garnet (breaks down quicker so you can't re-use it as many times) but it's cheaper :)
