Getting another shell would be your best option, in my opinion. You could pick up a very decent shell for under $500 (if you look) and it will be much cheaper to fix and paint up than repairing what you've got (most of it will need a new paint anyways!).

Sorry to hear that. Your story is similar to when I leant my bro my car, even the crash area is the same too. Expensive to fix too, was like almost 3 grand, luckily insured. Hope it works out ok.
