By the range and depth of the items fedr is flogging on Ausmini it sounds like a Cooper S has been written off or is being dismantled.....why :?:

Just about any Cooper S deserves to be saved....ergh...even starting with the compliance plate and ID.

Why don't you PM him and ask him? Discussing something that is obviously his personal items on a public forum is not very considerate of him as it may have an effect on his sale. Anyway most of his items are already sold so there really is no point discussing it now.

If you cared that much, why did you not buy the whole car when he offered it 6 weeks ago?

Not trying to be rude but I think this question is not appropriate...

If I were selling items I would not want people to ask why I am selling as a discussion on this forum by other people without directly asking me first... just my 2 cents

I asked a while back but he didn't reply, I'd love to know the history of the demised car myself.

C'mon Fedr, spin us a yarn! :)

free speech! where do I get some of this "free speech"

We is all Mini grown-ups here aren't we?? let fedr speak for him/herself :!:

If he/she is a car thief/rebirther/mover of dodgey bits he will spin us a dit...or he/she could have genuinly lost a Cooper, well we may get to hear about it...or they may just be a buyer and seller of wrecks...either way...idle curiosity abounds on this one

9Y, I had the same question on my mind for a few days too, but I get the impression he/she is not an overly happy person that encourages conversation outside of sales.

Just my opinion, I honestly dont know the person.

So, who's gonna ask?????

If he was a car thief, do you honestly think he would send out the parts after you gave him some cash ?

The car was too rusty to save. (and many other PERSONAL reasons)

Rest of machanicals premo condition

At least he is not trying to flog a reshelled "genuine" car!!

...As if you guys really care....CHEAP cooper S parts for sale :P

Tanks....most others on Ausmini are happy to talk about their rusty shitboxes (gawd..look at mine :( ) .....so re-shelling must not have been an option....and, none of us need to know or are interested in the PERSONAL stuff.

Hey Minimad how long did it take u to make up that crap..... Thats not the reason @ all....

It was a genuine cooper S, with all the bits to put it back together he has the project for 10yrs, personal reasons ment he had to give up the project and Like allot of mini's you can get more cash if you split up the bits and that is what he did...... The shell was mint!!!! and so was most the other parts.

Very nice bloke.....

Surely whatever he does with his cars/parts is his issue?

I bought some bits off him, and no issues. I paid by EFT and the parts arrived a couple of days later, well packed and exactly as described. Friendly e-mails and no hassles.

Funny story here - a guy was busted in the UK for being a full time "steal em, strip em, sell the bits on ebay" person. And yes, the guy did post out the parts fop every sale - he just got unlucky by advertising some rare bits that were recognised by the original owner.

And apparrently the guy was making quite alot of money too.

This has nothing to do with fedr's sales.
