Hello all. I'm Jerm from the suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX USA. I've got a 998 A+ roundy w/13" minilite look-a-likes. It's not my daily driver because traffic here is a nightmare and I drive 35+ miles one way to work. I do however drive it every chance I get.
I'm on a few Honda/Acura sites (I drive a 99' civic hatchback) but this is my first Mini forum. It's pretty cool. Lots of links and info. :D

welcome Jerm,

make sure you post a pic of your little baby. She sounds lovely.

welcome,

minichick

Ps. was thinking about the subjest of asigning genders to minis and recall a string on this very subject a while ago on this forum. A thought.....when I think about a 'roundie' I get a female vibe and when I picture a 'cubbie' I get a sort of male vibe. Could be a nice neat way of sorting things out (except for the people who have already named their clubbies or roundies the opposite! Anyway.....just though I'd put that into the melting pot for anyone to mull over....

yep, but i think generally cars, bikes, trains, ships, airplanes are always female, but don't let that stop you from giving your mini or whatever a boys name

Thank you. I've only passed through Houston but it looked a lot like Dallas.

Thanks, I'll get a pic up in a bit.

I have not named my Mini yet. It is my second Mini and I didn't name the first one ether (I should have named it "Rusty")

Hello, after coming over to the UK for a 12 month working holiday and spending 5 years her, I'm finally coming home this northern summer, and bringing home my red Mini Cooper Sport 500.

Its great to see that Oz still has such a strong mini following, and I look forward to catching with other fanatics when my car lands. :)

welcome Roger and to your min as well. Post some pics of your mini if you can. Good luck with the voyage. Where are you coming back to? In Sydney we love to welcome new minis.

minichick :)

Hello, I've been looking at this website and forum for years, but this is my first post.

Ausmini is a great resource for info on the OZ Minis! But then again, you already knew that :?

My Mini is named "Morris" -- original huh?

He's a 1965 Oz Cooper that I imported from Pacific Pines QLD to Northern California about 3 years ago. It's a great little car, and has been good to me. I've done quite a bit to it to get it into the shape it's in now. It was a mess though when it came off the boat. Rust problems, mechanical problems, incorrect bits, etc. That's all behind me and Morris now though.

I upgraded the 997 Cooper discs to S discs, it's got a 12G1316 head that I had ported, oversize intake valves and the extra stud holes drilled. It has a 1340 with 45mm Dellorto, remote change, HiLos and adjustable suspension front and rear, rear swaybar, right-hand tank, 4 big air horns so everyone knows I'm coming and more.

Anyway, its great to finally post here on this forum THE BEST OZ Mini forum on the Web!

Let's see if this image hosting works here: Edit: try #2

Nice car Isle....please take it down to Santa Cruz for me....we had to sit in the bus and the train many years ago....the roads down to the beach looked just right for a Mini :)
