Just wondering if on all your Mini's, do the ignition lights on the dash light up when the key is in the AUX position???

I wired in a stereo on the AUX wire so i wouldn't have to turn the radio off manually each time i get out of the car, but it seems that when the key is in AUX or ON (IGNITION) the dash lights do the same thing.

My dad thinks somethings wrong with the wiring somewhere.

Most Clubbies are like that, at least all the ones we've had.

You sure? I thought that the coil had power going to it on 'aux'.

I always wire my minis to the constant side of the fuse box. No worries about frying coils that way.

its easy, on your fuse box (2-fuse type) get a test light or multimeter and find the fuse that has voltage only when your ign is on and then tap that for your stereo just make sure you have the wire on the correct side of the fuse as to not blow your stereo when lucas blows smoke!

I never fried any points in aux listening to the stereo for a few hours at a time. but did in the on position

So is there any way of keeping power to the stereo while in Aux, but not having the ignition lights???

Or should i just live with the fact that its old and get used to it?
