im having massive problems with the travel in my clutch. i changed the clutch plate and pressure plate and thrust bearing i.e. clutch kit about 6 months ago because it ceompltely went on me. However when i pulled the old plates out, they werent worn that much at all, i found that the thrust bearing was almost egg shaped and really warped.

it has been fine up until now where im getting a huge shuddering between gears mainly first and second, as well as strong vibrations in the travel of the clutch that shakes my entire leg.

i have no idea what is going on. any help would be appreciated!

thanks

Normally I've found clutch shudder to be caused by oil leaking onto the plate but it doesn't normally get as bad as you described , did you replace the big oil seal on the end of the crank when you did the clutch by any chance ? Is there any oil dripping out the hole with the split pin in the bottom of the clutch housing ? I doubt it would be that if it's so bad but it's simple to check and rule it out .

didnt change the seal, i do have a large oil leak but not sure if it enters the clutch housing at all and i will check.

it is completely dry around the split pin, i did notice that whilst he nut at the end ouf the clutch housing next to the lever arm doesnt turn, i can wiggle it a bit, would that have any bearing on it?
