And the government wonders `why' there's a black economy...
The GST etc just made it even more worthwhile to use ca$h..... 8)

Ever noticed that most of the engine reco business deals in ca$h?? They gotta be running at least 2 sets of books..

When you run your own business you right off a massive amount of things too offset the tax, most of the consumables i buy for my mini's get ridden off, so i win amost all of the time.

The only way to win in OZ is to be super rich. Then you can pay the lawyers and the accountants to set up trust funds and company names and sub trust entities payng debentures into the company structure for way of guarantees which ultimately mean you end up not earning a brass razoo, not having any assets and best of all not paying any tax AND being able to live in luxury with a garage full of pristine Minis.....

:x its just not fair.

On a brighter note, with the $25.45 the online tax thing has predicted I will be getting back from the govt, I plan on getting myself some already heavily taxed fuel for a week or two of driving.

Hey does anyone know if the tax you pay on fuel and alcohol is an allowable tax claim..? Sounds pretty fair to me. Ching Ching... that would mean I would get $10,025.45 with the amount I drink...!!!!

I'd simply be happy is my boss would give me my group certificate so I could actually do my tax return. Then I get some money back from the government, to put towards the OMG I'm in debt fund :)

hmmm... found this topic hiding in the deep dark corners of AUSMINI.... which reminded me - only a couple weeks left ....i'd better start doing my tax - and finish it.

Anyone else here as slack as me??

Oh , wanna know how to stay wealthy?? Just become a celebrity or superstar..... people will GIVE you crap for free, all day every day, even though you are stinking rich.

This is a society where the rich get richer, and the poor fund it.
