well... today i was going to my mates place and i got about 10 meters from his drive way
and my clutch went snap, so we pushed it up the drive and his next door neighbours came over to inspect. i am so lucky one was a mechanic and the other had a mini and had the part i needed and they fixed it there and then for me..

i was only going over to put my angle eyes in  get a pic of them up soon

heres the pic...of the clutch arm thingy

Don't even THINK about welding it on. It's heat treated, wil just crack off again, even if TIG welded. Just fit a NEW one they are not dear.
Experience taught me this...

No, thats not the part you heat'n'bend (that's near the casting number).

Just old age...

They do bend down there, from old age. Just before they SNAP....
My early type arm (thinner) broke 1/2 way up the main arm, next to the stop lug...

Nah the thinner ones are better than the aftermarket ones we get now.
But buy one for spare, good idea...:)

Wow now that's a break!

My clutch was sloppy ages ago and I replaced this arm to find the ball on the end only holding on by about 3mm of metal

What a wuss- just drive it home, no clutch...
After owning a Fiat 124 (&%#* cable clutch) for 25 years you get pretty good at clutchless shifts when cable breaks... 8)
