Hi Mates.

I'm Italian. But I'm in Australia. In Adelaide.
And on sunday I?ll leave for Alice Springs. But this is another story.

So. The fact.

A friend gave me her Mini for a little rapair (a mirror). But, you know... You have a Mini in your hands and you cannot stopo looking around in and out her or stoppin play with her.

So you clean it up a little bit, you take some pictures, you look the engine... This stuff.

This mini was repaired by a... Criminal is not enough...
Ok. He repainted it (the car was white, now is red with white roof) and I think he did something in the interior. Nothing...

I think would be nice if I attach some pics, is't it?

Can you tell wich models is it?
Morris Mini Deluxe. But... 1000cc?

Ok, but today I tried to start the engine (after 2 days of garage stoppig)

The electric motor (I cannot remember the name in english) run well.
I heard a good noise... But I didn?t have a spark to start propely the engine.

I tried several times.

Finally it started. I'm quite happy cause I didn't blow up the engine...

But I had a lot of problem moving it.

When I was relesing the cloutch and pushing the accellerator the revs go down. And so I had to push again the clutch to have some more rev.

After coming into the garage again (with a lot of this low revs) I tried to switch it of. And then again I turned the key: the car started well at the first attemp.

The engine is ok. So I can go to bed happy. But this problem? Is only because the engine isn't warm up enough?

I would like to give to this friend a name of a garage repair for the mini. I would like that she brought the car to have it fixed properly.

Can you help me, please?

I'm in Adelaide, at the moment. And this friend is from Adelaide too.

See ya!

Was the handbrake on?

Did the clutch pedal feel alright?

Can you engage reverse without hearing a crunching sound in the gearbox?

When I tried to go with it the handbrake was disengaged, of course.

The clutch is right, for me.
It's not very easy to insert the reverse. But when it's in I could run in reverse for ages...

I would like a name, an address, or something, of a good mec for this mini...

Ok, all the address is on my paper. Tomorrow I'll see.

Thank you, mate.

If anyone has more helpful ideas (like addresses or anything) I'll appreciate!
