I have a mk1 cooper s block that is out to 1380 but the bore is pretty crappy but can not go another rebore. The question I have is can I get the block resleved or is it easier and cheaper just to get another block?
Cheers Pete

Talk to Graham Russell. I know he can resleeve 1380s back to stock.

However it won't be cheap. Unless it's a genuine S I'd grab a Morris 1100S, or a 1300 auto block...

Spoke to Graham Russell today about this and he said it would be $150+ per bore, so looks like a new block.
Cheers Pete

1275 engines to suit a rebuild are going anywhere between $500 and $1500 already, so at $600 for 4 resleeves, it is not looking that bad IMHO

Picked up a virgin LS 1275 block today for under $300. Only thing wrong is the pistons were rusted in, but got them out OK. Will clean up no worries with 40+, hopeing 20+ will do it.

you could try to bore it out to 74.7mm like mine :-)

makes it a 1426 (ish) or even add a stroker crank & make it a 1485(ish)

Maybe,,,at least that`s another option if you want.
