I found out where I got the mini bug from?.. on the weekend I went back and visited my parents who went through some old photos and there I was sitting at the wheel of my dad?s mini van (which I wish he had kept then I wouldn?t be wanting to find one for the next project) I was about the age of 5 I reckon. i wonder what happend to that van

So this bring me to the question of where/how did people get the mini bug?

My Dad's beena classic car buff all his life and I from a young age was buying him the classic car magazine for fathers dad and usually read them after he did and saw several mini's in them. Also a family friends uncle owned a deluxe I think it was they live out western NSW and often visted our family friends in coffs harbour. Thats where and when I'm putting it down to.

I'm a recent convert. Got the mini bug from my ex. He had (has) a GT and a moke. Fell in love instantly. Breaking up was hard...hard to say goodbye to the cars! So had to get my own....now I want another and another and another. Perhaps someone should start MOA (mini owners anonymous) for mini tragics.

minichick :)

Goodness - why didn't go for the best of both worlds and compromise. Get ex's moke and stick his big engine in it then call it your own. Forget about the winter wind whipping around you - we have more summer than winter

yesh...so true...would have loved the moke....I now want to restore one when I move somewhere with more room for cars and parts etc. A Moke on the northern beaches in summer is the best.....by the way...the moke he had already had the big engine...it was a Californian!

:)
