a ha still not a bad thing but......

The first car I ever rode in was a blue 65 Deluxe belonging to my grandmother.

Then my grandfather gave me a white 68 Deluxe for my 16th birthday.

The rest, as they say, is history!

Didn't drive or ride in one until the age of 30, none in the family until my sister got one about 2000.

Mikey wanted a car in which he could reach the pedels I suggested he get in my sisters car and five weeks later we had one. Been through 16 BMC cars since in five years.

Looking back through the family album I noticed on my first day of school my school bag has a patch stuck on it of a red mini.

It was only a matter of time.

about 1966 my first car...a near new Blue 998 Deluxe....and the other apprentice where I worked was right into modifying his 997 Cooper..both of us also shared an interest in Motorsport

ha...just remembered that my first car was a morris 1100, so I had the mini bug but didn't know it and it morphed into a passion for minis only two years ago. Unfortunately, I fell asleep at the wheel on Pacific Hwy at Gordon, after an all nighter and wrote it off. I was fine, got out and caught a taxi home...now I drive very carefully...it was the first and the last car my dad ever gave me.
