Hey all, the names Andrew but everyone just knows me as Peachey and I am a panel beater. I know a couple of guys off here, and grew up with race mini's. I will be helping a member on here with his mini panel van soon.

I sadly don't own a mini, will eventually, but I have a 1962 Mazda Carol 600 coupe (actually smaller then a mini) its in a bad way but its getting a full restoration, these are a very rare car.
I also have a 1975 KE30 Corolla which is being built up pretty seriously with a BEAMS 3SGE and 6 speed(not gonna bother explaining but its a very good NA 2L 4 cylinder and costs a mint.

This is Tim from Hotbricks of SA. I own a 1964 850. Well not any more LOL! It's now red with a union jack roof (i was at Hay with the only union jack roof this year) and yeah it's got a 1330 Cooper S motor and the rest eg disk brakes, twin tanks etc. I love it! My dad has a 1975 yellow Clubman GT, he also loves that too, i mean it's a mini how could you not love it?

Hi all,
My Name's Iain. I've been a VMCI club member for many years. These forums are a great way of catching up on everything Mini! I first bought a 71 Clubman GT 13 years ago, sold it 10 years ago then bought it back last week!! :D Have been trying to find it for 8 years! It is still in original showroom condition and I intend keeping it that way. Orange (cadiz) with Black stripes (so 70's porn!). In between I've had a 78 Cubman S (now gone to that great garage in the sky  ). I currently have an 850 shell with all of my Mk1 Cooper S running gear in it and twin tanks. Nice and quick that one. Love having the Morris 850 badge on the back when it currently has about 3-4 times the horsepower as the original engine. My Cooper S is sitting under a cover in dad's backyard awaiting restoration! :P Cheers

Oh yeah, I forgot. My daily driver is now a 98 Peugeot GTi 6. An absolute weapon! Bit too refined to call it a modern day Cooper S but as close as you could get today. 124Kw from 2litres and 6 speed manual  Although if you want to get closer to the bus like driving position of a Mini then a 206 GTi might be a closer interpretation. :?
Long Live the Hot Hatch

Hi all,

Been working on Mini's as a hobby last 18 years or so, involved more now with other things like FSAE
Image

that's me on the right.

My first race meeting as a flagy was at Catalina in 93, got a photo of Wayne Witcombe's sports sedan that his old man punted into the timber at Craven A, free rent for Wayne from then on I guess

Anway, really enjoy the banter on Ausmini 8) , I used to be an active member of another forum years ago but got sick of smart kids telling me they know better :x

Am spending more time getting the garage cleaned out atm...

Cheers

DOZ
PS - Mines turbocharged, don't ask - it's against my therapists advice
