Yesterday I worked on the mini most of the day. New Fuse box, voltmeter, wiring, checked alternator, cleaned terminals, tried to set mixtures on the SU, started my door cards, etc... Great day.

Guests came over at 7:30pm and we went inside.

This morning I woke and started working (finishing yesterdays stuff) at 9:00am
Went to the boot to check the battery earth and low and behold by Leyland badge GONE!

Some little #$% went and badged about 20 cars in the street... tried to badge the Liberty but couldnt and stole the neihbours instead. Holdens, Fords, Subaru's... anything they could!

Man, if I saw them or caught them... GRR!!!!

Pissed off Peter.

PS: I actually think I saw the little #$% walking down the street and just thought, hey good kids going for a stroll.

Yeah, i'll check ebay just in case. But I wouldnt go to pick up my 'purchase' with cash... more like a Brick!

Its not expensive to replace, its not that its my mini... its that these little #$% go around damaging property and DONT care one bit!

Peter.

OH dude, sooo sorry to hear. Thats just sooooooo LAME.

I can understand totally, its not about the cost to replace or anything (however annoying it may be), its the fact these little #@$%'s do it and dont give a rats....

My brother in his much younger days (talking 13/14) started doing this in our street, i very quickly taught him otherwise. It is just so wrong, and now he is 20, owning a car and motor bike of his own, he really understands how wrong it is. Guess its the down side of "youth", you really have no understanding of what is involved in "buying", and "maintaining" a car.... as well as lack of respect for other peoples property

Makes me glad we have teddy all locked away and safe in his garage of a night time!

Anyhow, real sorry to hear mate.

Haha, never looked at it that way. Thanks

You know what though, I think I may just go clean, no badge on the bootlid. remove plastic, bog it up and paint it.

Peter.

It was for this reason why I decided to debadge mine while doing the resto, didn't want the have it damaged by punk kids who get their kicks from doing crap like that. I also removed the Numberplate flap, looks much neater with it gone

Find out where the colpret lives and throw several bricks at his windows, car and steal his letterbox as well. Like the idea people threw up into convesation about seawrching ebay that'd work too. Best of luck finding it and or another one.

Yeah, I am a believer in Karma... ... Well, mines called Tyson not Karma... but same applies.
He needs a longer leash though, maybe just to reach the mailbox... then we would see who is game enough to badge my car.

Tyson is a 7 year old boxer ... likes eating thieves!
