Gulgong is a small town. By a tortuous route, i got to inspect a collection of mini parts today. The owner's son had developed a mini relationship over a few years and then joined the army.

He left his mother with a number of mini bibs and bobs that they want $200 for the bibs and bobs. All sorts of mini bits (clubman type) but nothing special.

However, there is a complete set of 7.5 inch disk brakes, disassembled but all there. May need reco'ing - they want $650, no offers no bargaining. That is Cv's, driven plate, hubs, rotor and calipers. There is also new pads, timken barings and ball joints.

I have no part in this except the mother is a nice old lady and Gulgong is too small to rip people off and get a bad reputation.

If anybody is interested - contact me - 6374 2005 and I will arange the introduction. Apart from that, I take no part in the proceedings.

As a job lot they wan $200 for the bibs and bobs, mostly from clubman series.

Thats a fair price.

Mike, make sure they go to someone on a 'needs basis' .... not a 'I wanna make some $$' basis

I don't need them, but if I did I would be calling you

I would like that as well - I have no arguement with people who speculate on parts with their own money but.. in this case a pensioner mother is the person making the decisions - she doesn't care or know about cars or car part values but i wont let her get ripped off - first past the post with the right money gets the bits. There is value in the bibs and bobs as well. Boot lids, grills, all manner of other stuff hidden in boxes.

Near Mudgee - 300km northwest of Sydney - 200km west of Newcastle and an hour east of Dubbo.

Gulgong was the town on the original $10 note . Wonderful town.
