Not worried about drilling holes in the paint, we have already installed a right hand side tank after it was painted. Just don't want to cut gaurds and major crap like that. hence the reason the smaller the engine the better.

Would a whole starlet GT engine, turbo and all fit into a clubman with little or no worries at all? If you have the cut the guards I'm not interested, but just don't know how big they are.

Will be shopping around for a front cut once uni is over for the semester. At the moment I am trying to find an instrument cluster for my 1994 SSS Pulsar and thats proving hard enough.
brads clubby had some of the guards cut out , but with a BFH anything is possible ;)

guys/gals,
citric and i are really keen to get a 4E-FTE ep82 starlet gt engine into a roundy (i took an ep71 for a test drive on the weekend and i'm dying to feel that boost come on in my mini) what a little machine.. violent is the best i can use to descibe it.. and the ep82 has about 40% more power and is quicker to 100 by 1.5 seconds

so brad if your there i need some info on this guy in NZ

adam and i will go ahead regardless i think and will chalk it up to experience if i piss that money up the wall.. the least we can do is whack it in a clubby if all else fails.. but i want a roundie (more specifically.. my van)

anyone else know of one of these in a roundie?

Hi Minstar here, regarding dropping the G13B in, it is a cinch compared to the 4EFTE engine as is considerably smaller (like a lot). You still need a custom frame but nothing like the 4E. The cost of the halfcut is pretty much as others have said around $2000 (plus freight depending on where you live (me $450!). Then there is the cost of making the subframe. Now if you are doing it yourself like me, costs are negligible (ie cost of welding wire, steel etc). I am about 75% finished on the frame and it has cost me I reckon about $200 to make. To get someone else to make it could be big bucks and take a while. And also G13B halfcuts are as rare as hen's teeth (people say they can get them but I rarely see the end product). Feel free to PM or go to my website!

Haven't really started looking for a g13b yet, but I guess its a matter of how hard you look whether you find one or not. For me the only real option is the g13b so thats the way I will have to put all my efforts. Wouldn't mind having a motorbike powered mini but thats a little bit out of the reach at the moment. Still want a mini engine mini but just as a run about. Thanks for the replies guys. Minstar your mini looks pretty damn tough, should go bloody quick as well.

can we get some detailed engine pics of a starlet gt in the engine bay, not just on a stand?

id like to see front/rear/side clearences with all the crap bolted on

take a pic low too if you coul to see height comapered with where the bonnet should be

and one fron underneath.. ppleeeasse
