I just rediscovered Google Earth after a year or so not using it..... The satellite photo of my house has a cloud over it, but I swear there's a blob exactly where my Mini K would have been

can you find your mini? give us the lat/long... I reckon the pics of my area are about 2 years old

{EDITED OUT - Josh is right...}

Ours is
lat 32 21 53 39 south

long
149 38 57 93 east

Unfortunately we have a 600 metre "bad" section over the house but it does clearly show the garage, a couple of the cars, a caravan, box trailer and farm paddocks

My mini is lime green.

I can see my truck & trailer parked out the front of my place. Can't see any of our mini's as you can't see through garage roofs on google earth.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

This is all cool and stuff..but doesn't this just give thieves the location of your car? i mean you can already find enough information on here about someone as it is such as phone number's, pics of the car, mods, money spent etc...

I would be a lot more worried if I had a mint XUI Torana or a Falcon GT phase 111. Both are worth mega dollars.

most car thieves are opportunistic rather than premeditated. Those premeditated ones do weigh up the risks against the value and there are plenty of higher value cars out there.

All of us must treat our property with respect and be careful with its security but dont develop gasto-intestinal ulcers over it.

Try telling that to my mate who had his $8k RX2 stolen from outside his work. That was almost three months ago and still no sign :cry: .

I know it sounds dumb to steal a mini given the community we are but if outsiders were to find out the value of some bits I would surely be worried. I used to remove the steering wheel when I went to the shops years ago :lol:

Yes i know that happens all too frequently and its a disaster to the person it happens too. No fast insurance payout, no transport and just feeling of despair while your life is on hold.

I guess a mini is a cult car to a group of miniacs just as much as rotaries are cult car to another group.
