Something i've always had in my mind every since seeing the MG Metro 6R4 at the Classic Adelaide last year

Image

What would BL have done to a Mini to enter it into Group B.

it would need to be boxy... therefore a clubby would be perfect :)

Following the theme of the 6R4, i really like the idea of a mid-mounted V6 with super widened arches and fat wheels..

There's a sports sedan mini with a mid mount camry v6 isn't there?

4wd would be awsome, but no doubt sexpensive... mid mount rwd would be schweet...

</brain dump>

:)

edit... oh wow..

DROOL..........

These things are one of my all time favourite cars , tiny but with enormous balls . Imagine taking one out on the streets and upsetting the ricers at the lights .

yeah.. but BL wouldn't have put one in... they would've used a rover V6 of some sort... :)

it wouldhave to be a transverse v6 for it to drive the rears, wouldn't it..

Transverse would take up less room , the 6R4 was longitudinally mounted 4wd , pain in the butt to get sorted out , mid mounted camry V6 would be easier as it's all in one unit and you just have to lock the steering , then turbo it .....

If I were to stuff around doing it I sure as hell wouldn't stick any POS Rover donk back in there!!!

Could do a transverse, prolly be easier to fit. Mitsu 3000GT, 3.0 twin turbo from factory :P
