Hey guys. Time for me to ask lots of questions again.

1. Does anyone have a rough idea on what it costs to get a subframe sandblasted and powder coated??

2. In terms of performance/driveablitiy, is there any difference from an 80's rover A+ 998 engine to a 70s clubby 998 engine??

3. Is there more leg space under the steering wheel in a rover than a clubman or are they the same??

cheers

boink!

I can only help with question number 2 , as far as I know the 80's a+ were built to polution control standards so they are considerably choked up . To the point if you look at the English sales brochures they were using 1275 engines later to get the same horsepower figure they originally got with a 998 . Nothing a good head and cam wouldn't fix though , and I don't mean a wild one , just improved a bit . An Aussie pre-polution 202 head would be good .
