Hey Guys and Gals!

My name is Belinda - I am 23 and have loved Mini's since before I could drive - My dad and I built one when I was 15 - It was a black Leyland Clubman S shell that My dad and I put a Mini Cooper S engine, Front Discs and Full Syncro Gear box in. Due to personal reasons with my father I had to sell it as i couldn't work on it anymore and it was just sitting there rotting :( so I sold that to get some money and put a deposit on a 1964 Cooper S - Metallic Blue, White Roof, White Vinyl Seats, Walnut Dash and I was dropping a mid 90's fuel injected, unleaded engine in it for relability. I had to leave my job my job which meant that I couldn't afford this car and it got soldd to someone else before I even got it as it was with the original engine in it

I grew up having Mini's around me in the backyard - One of these including the original Pelandenie (not sure on spelling) Does anyone know what I am talkiung bout? :?

Now I have a stable job which I won't be leaving I can finally get my dream Mini :D 8) I am looking for something with a good body and engine to start on asap preferably a Cooper S Engine.

I can't wait to be driving one again 8) Cause I will hug him and squeeze him and love him   You get the drift ;)

Hey all, my name is Keelan and I'm "new" here at these boards. I have been trolling around without registering reading posts here and there. I figured it was finally time to extract the digit and try and give something back.

I'm 23 and live in Perth, WA. I've owned my '77 Clubman S since I was 15. Bought her as a busted old thing owned by a lady at my fathers work. Since then I've spent more money than I'd like to think about, and more blood, sweat, and tears also. She currently runs around with custom paint, hand made walnut dash, full retrim interior, 8.4" discs, 12" speedy rims and a few other personal touches. I was running a warm 1310cc untill an unfortunate event that resulted in the rings on number 3 melting to the piston. I'm currently building a low-comp 997cc ready for a supercharger or turbo, and a 1400cc once I find a crank that wont snap when I put my foot down.

I've loved Mini's all my life and have owned several over my few years. Being a poor man I've tried to teach myself everything I can about them and consider myself "somewhat" knowledgable in thier quirks. Because if it can break, it has, and I had to fix it myself :P

I look forward to talking to you all.

Keelan.

HI..

This site is pretty damn sweet. I've only owned a '76 Clubman since January and absolutely love it. Unfortunately i'm moving interstate and the mini is staying in Adelaide - but hopefully not for long!

I figured there'd have to be a site like this somewhere and i've finally found it!

Amos.

Hi, my name is Nick and I live in Toowoomba, QLD. I'm new round these parts but have been reading the posts for quite a while. I have a '67 Deluxe that has had alot of things done to it, there has been big $$$$ spent. I have owned my mini for about 2.5 years, although it has been in the family for 33 years before getting to me, my dad was the second owner way back in '73. Hopefully I can contribute.....something!

Hi all,
Im Craig from Adelaide, I have a reshelled 1965 Morris Cooper S. Ive been restoring it since I was 14 years old, on a maccas budget. All parts are new, reconditioned, or resparyed. Its a awesome car, which I got the idea from my dad, as a first car. If you need any parts feel free to ask, because I do have heaps of spares!! anyway

Cheers

Welcome Belinda...best of luck living your dream (although Minis often give you nighmares from what I've seen  ).

A fella called Watto might be very interested in your Pelandini story for his great magazine ....The Mini Experience...Cheers, Mick

Yeah that's where I was going to get one built before - I am organising it as i type :D Just didn't want to have to wait for it to be built - but... now I am waiting lol Went down on Saturday and I am picking bits and pieces out for it! Getting so excited.

9YaTaH: Yeah I know what they are like - I had driven one for a couple of years, but isn't the all the trouble what makes em so special, they got character  Pardon the pun...

I don't have much of a storey but my Dad does... He designed it with someone, I've heard all the stories but never got to go in the thing, my whole life the poor thing has been rotting away in a garage at his - It depresses me to think about it! If I was still talking to him I would of done something about it...
