We've got a supposedly 68 deluxe in our workshop here today,

Its got a generator (not alternator), 9Y/tah on the compliance, hydrospastic suspension, 850-type single pod dash, 998....?

Standard Deluxe, or have i just got myself all confused???

It sounds like a Deluxe to me. 9YATAH is a deluxe engine number, the body should be YMA2S2. Deluxes came with 998cc 3 synchro remote boxes and a 850 style centre pod speedo.

You are being confused with Mini Ks which have 1098cc, 4 synchro remote and cooper S style 3 gauge center cluster?

Nah, just that the 850 speedo for a 68 had me baffled. :?

Nevermind. Sounds like a standard issue Deluxe afterall.

From memory (yes i know it was a long time ago..:) the difference was 850s had white faced speedos whereas Deluxe's had black...
