Just got back from taking the old girl over the ACT Rego pits.....
Been sitting in the garage 7 years going nowhere til Christmas when I started getting her up and running again.. then things got in the way..... so finally bit the bullet I took her in....
Only a few minor problems.....
Too low... will have to adjust those HiLos... must have settled over the years.
Only just fitted over the pits and exhaust bracket had to be lined up to get past everything.
Oil leaks... seems every seal is taking it in turns to cry enough.... think the Primary is leaking now.... mmm clutch replacement time... (Don't Minis leak to stop then rusting? It's a design feature
)
Holes in Battery box.... need to put the rubber grommets back in... (I had some weird ones before but that is a new one !
)
Noise - What is wrong with 108 decibels ??? Drowns out the gear rattle!! (sadly driving onto the brake tester always catches there attention!!
)
All up they were really good about it.... now just have to get my act together and sort her out....
Great fun to have her out on the road again....
Almost ? Not really - but not as bad as I anticipated just some I didn't expect !!
