Jet Red acrylic lacquer..
Was taken `a while' ago, I'm about to get it redone in Jet Red 2-pack.

That Jet Red looks really good.
My Mini K has no colour code on it, I am guessing it is Jet Red as it has faded and is quite orange.
Anybody know what reds Ks came in? Just wonder what else mine could be if it is not Jet Red.

Mini K was made from 1969-71. My `matic is a 70, I reckon Jet Red would be the colour you have. The RTA listed mine as Orange, even though it's Jet Red.
That pic I posted is old- my car has now faded quite a bit, Jet Red is really pretty much the same shade as the Scarlet O'Hara in Kinkabell's Clubby.
Ford `Red Flame' is the touchup can used for both.

This is early model PPG Ford Monza Red/Jet White roof. Im unsure of the paint code. With the low light in this pic it looks quite rich.

In high light conditions, it dosnt seem as rich. I think its quite a nice shade of red.

61-62-63- Cherry Red
61-62-63-64-66 Monza Red - (also called Carnation Red)
61- Orient Red
63-64 Tartan (also called Champion Red
64- Sunset Red
65- Royal Red
68- Sandown Red
69-71/72 Jet Red
70-71/72 Damask Red
71/72 73/75 Dry Red
71/72 Rave Red
73/75 Scarlet O'Hara
78- Signal Red

There are probably some I have missed. (I was copying the Dulux book)

Wow thanks everyone for your help, I don't know what red to repaint my mini.

People say keeping the car the original colour keeps the value up, would this apply to different shades of red or only the original shade?
