Cheers :)

Well as i am in the market i guess i might have to ask a few things about the good old mini, the car i get around in these days is a pug 206 gti

Handles nicely ect ect any way of comparing the too (1970ish clubby or something)?

I would like a mini that would pack a bit of punch and a lot of fun to drive!!! Something agile would help greatly

And im not looking to spend over $10k on the road, and I like the idea of converting the car to a vtec engine or similar, I have spotted a very nice on this forum that I fancy very much but it is just over my price range.

Thanks again! Random!

Hi all,

I have been looking around the site for a few weeks, but now I have actually picked up my new badboy 'Lemon' (don't ask...) I thought it was time to actually register! I currently own a 75 clubman which I bought off ebay  two days ago, but used to own a 78 clubby which I sold many years ago because my Mum convinced me I shouldn't have a baby capsule in the backseat of a mini! We pretty much pulled out and re-did just about everything on the old girl (except for the engine), and its looking like the new one has had everything (mechanically) done to it bar the engine... so I will be up for a good learning experience. Needs a fair bit of bodywork and interior mods done too, but the first priority is to get him up and running and registered. Hope to get a lot of advice from you all, and I will hopefully be driving the badboy to the mini show in Penrith in October. I figure you only live once, and doing up a mini is something I have wanted to do since I sold the old girl nine years ago - I am really going to have to scrape together the time/funds etc to do a good job of this one, but I suppose if I waited for the 'right time' to do it, I wold probably never get around to it at all...

Good for you! I am in the same boat - I sold mine a couple of years back and have missed it ever since and I am now in the proces of buying/building one now... I have so much to learn to but more than anything I can't wait to be back in a mini again 8)

Name: Gavin
Age: 26
Location: Five Dock, NSW

I have a 1968 Morris Mini Deluxe that is a Cooper S look alike and a recently purchased 1962 Morris Mini 850.

Hey twista, yep it's me! Hey, just took a look behind the dash this afternoon too :jawdrop: talk about some wiring!! I'm guessing the stereo was worth more than the car?!?! Hoping to have him registered and going asap cos I am just itching to hoon him around... might even put some of that wiring to good use with my own system - what did you have? so far the guess is 2 amps and 2 subs, but we keep finding more and more wires the further we dig!

Just getting some more advice on what the issue with the block could be... to be honest we can't do too much for the next few days as we haven't got anything set up to even get the engine out yet! Just trying to get ideas on how to diagnose. As for the exhaust, I will just have to sit outside polishing my shotgun to keep the neighbour away  nah, it's all good. He is actually a metalworker, so I was thinking about getting him to make me up a nice custom brushed alloy dash. Will have to get you to redo some of that graffiti sticker work for the back window too! (just with my name instead of yours  ) Saw your website - looks sweet!

Yeah, I am going to make some enquiries about what is the minimum height for the exhaust for a bluey in nsw and what I need to do (if anything)... hopefully shouldn't be too much of a drama cos I'd hate to lose it!
Love the vinyls on the sides - my 10 year old son reckons they're awesome (he's into modding in a big way - Jap cars mainly. Long live the PS2  Will cost me a small fortune once he's old enough for a car I can just see it!)
