If I fly to Sydney, is anyone able to drive me to Bathurst?
Big ask, I know.
But I gotta ask to find out.

willy, they used to run a special train from Sydney to Bathurst for the race with a bus from the station to the track. I am not sure if they still do it. The Bathurst tourist centre would know.

It's the birthplace of Australian motor sport. It's where legends are born. It's the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. No other Australian rivalry runs as deep or is as fierce as the annual mountain showdown of V8 supercars. No other Australian sporting event offers more adrenalin-charged entertainment than Mount Panorama, as Australia's premier V8 supercar drivers test their endurance over four fuel-injected days of non-stop action.

To support this major regional event, CountryLink is operating a special train to Bathurst from Sydney with coach transfers to the mountain, all for the super low price of $77.00 on Saturday 7 October and $99.00 on Sunday 8 October.

On both days the train will depart Sydney Central Station at 5.30am, picking up at Strathfield, Parramatta, Blacktown and Penrith stations, arriving at Bathurst at 8.59am, where coaches will be waiting to transfer you up to the mountain.

At the end of the day’s racing, coaches will transfer you back to the railway station. The train will depart Bathurst at 6.30pm, with stops at Penrith, Blacktown, Parramatta and Strathfield before arriving at Central Station at 10.00pm.
