try driving from adelaide to sydney not knowing the fuel levels in the mini!
nor knowing how much fuel/mile (nb the speedo was out anyway ..)
thats fun..EVERYTIME we stopped we filled it up just a bit more..
oh and yeh, ive heard the expression 'whats teh difference btwn a mini and any other car?'
'with another car, you fill it up with petrol adn check the oil, with a mini you check the petrol and fill it with oil!'

yeah i lost the clutch pressure once and had to drive from penrith to rooty hill without it which lucky my old man showed me how to do in my old ute cause the clutch was on the way out and he got stuck one day and had to figure it out
everytime i had to stop i just turned the engine off then if at lights i waited for the car in front to go then put it in first started it while gicving it some juice and i was off no kangaroin so long as u get the revs right changing fun witha bit of the old double shuffle
a mate was in the car and couldnt belive a car could be driven with no clutch

Kazza...I think a trip to sydney is in order...your right about the oil and petrol joke..except unfortunately decent oil from sprint or another crap so called 'speed shop' costs more per litre than cheap petrol. Of course though my speedo works, but my tacho is crazy but I know why, just can't be bothered to rewire it as yet. Also my only like to turn one direction but that's another story of me being way too lazy to fix aswell!
