 Post subject: wheel decision

just wanting some feedback on wheel sizes
have a 74 clubman want to fit 13x6 deepdish superlites anyone know if i need to cut the guards to fit them? and what sort of flares should i run?

fairly sure u will jimmy, as for flares..... i'm a newbie to this game but i think that the group 5 flares are awesome (if they can be sourced in oz)

u will have to cut the guards and i think u can fit inno flares to cover these rims,

I doubt innocenti/rover flares will cover 13 x 6 wheels! Late Rover Sportspack Minis ran 13 x 6 rims and had wider flares than the innocenti ones.

Yes, you will probably have to cut the front guards. There is instructions on how to do this in the tech letters of just about every Miniworld or Mini Magazine issue.

there is also a template floating around the net that has measurements etc for cutting the arches. I believe you can actually buy them for a few bucks are certain mini places.

A mate of mine fitted a set of 13 x 5.5 on his clubby and did not need to cut the arches and is using the mayfair balck plastic arches.

He is happy with the setup and no problems with it either.

thanks very much for the info , i have actually just ordered the 13/5.5 superlites instead of the 6 i hope that what u say ends up working for me but thanks the advise anyway
