I was going to fit a new one 12 years ago when Ha-Ha went on the road. But I just welded it instead.
Now car is being prepped for repaint, it could use one- but at $300, I'll light the welder up...

Well I just bought myself a new front apron for my 850 from Karcraft

But when taking the old one off I discovered the original had been bronze welded on!

`Bronze welding' using oxy acetylene (brazing) predates MIG welding. It was used way back then in addition to spot welding. Robots? What robots...

BTW, many new European cars now are not spot welded , the zinc coated panels are MIG brazed using very fancy MIG welders....
Less likely to rust they say.
