I came across the following for NZD$3500 (AUD$3000). What has stopped us from getting cars from NZ as opposed the UK in the past?

Is rego in Oz a problem?

You could, but it's not going to be worth your effort. All the screw threads on NZ cars are Whitworth, the wheels and brakes are sized around indivisible prime numbers so each tyre and brake shoe must be individually crafted and they will only run on distilled dew from tussock that grows high in the Sothern Alps. Oh, and the panels are all made from recycled America's Cup boats' carbon fibre, so crash repairs are prohibitively expensive.

So, like I say, you could but it's hardly going to be worth the effort, is it.

Ken.

Foreign currency traders had banked on the fact the NZ's reserve bank was going to raise interest rates yesterday. They didn't.......

Speedy, maybe a question best directed at Feralsprint?

Speedy

Rego is not a problem in NSW for older imported cars, it only has to comply with the ADRs of the build date of the vehicle and if pre 72 no ADRs apply at all, its easy with older cars :D
