My new engine is being put together very soon and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best carb set up to run.
The block is an 1100S 1275 that is .100" oversize. The pistons, I'm not sure what they are, my mechanic reckons they are some kind of mazda piston? EN40B small journal crank and balanced small journal rods. The cam is pretty gnarly, a Pipercross BP285 attached to dualchain adjustable cam gear. The head is a heavily ported 12G940 with normal sized valves and double valve springs. I think that's all the info you boffins will need
I've got a set of matched 1.5" SU's all set up from my previous engine. There's a set of matched 1.25" twins sitting around that I haven't put together yet, but I think these might be a bit small? I also have a reco HIF44 on a Minispares manifold sitting my shed, just kind of looking pretty.
Which set up would people recommend out of these two, or any other suggestions? As you might be able to tell I am a bit of a carby hoarder... A few more wont make any difference
