Hi all, I just picked up a set of fibroglass flares from minisport(not innocettis). Has anyone fitted these ? if so, was it hard? what did you use to seal between the body and the flare? any hints or tips would be appreciated.

no pics as yet guys, Its a clubbie, the flares are fibroglass and about 3inches wide at the most. I think it said group 3 or 5 on the invoice,they are screw on,apparantly they screw on in the same place as the innocetti flares do. Do I have to cut grooves out of them for the seams or do they sit closer to the wheel arch?. From what I can gather they have to be screwed into the beaver panel,is this correct? I know its alot of stupid questions,it looked so simple from the outset but once i got them home well...you know how it goes.

yeah like those mate. Did you fit them yourself? I have just spent this morning sanding the dags of the itchyglass from the mould. What a pain in the ass, pretty strong though.

$195 is quite cheap including the moulds?

what are they called?

group 5 or 3 I think. No moulds included. The dags were left from the moulding process

I mainly want to know what people used to seal it up with the body? silicon or some kind of foam tape, also wat would be the best way to fasten them to the body? captive bolts or just screws?

galvanised or stainless self tapping screws,
not sure on backing material, but cutting something rubber out in the right size sounds good.

I was thinking like a sticky backed rubber. Maybe like that draught seal stuff you can buy for your house?

You don't want to completely seal the arches to the body.
A rubber strip between the arch and panelwork should be all you need.
Dirt can build up in the arches, so you're better off beaing able to remove it
for cleaning or changine styles.

I use Sikaflex when fitting the Inno ones, it takes a lot of stress off the little screws.
