The new EBC black stuff pads are bedded in onto brand new 7.5inch rotors... and they squeal like a little a banshee! it's a horrible noise!

So am i doing something wrong or do I need anti squeal shims? can anyone tell me where I can score a set of these anywhere in the world (as it seems noone has these anymore). Tried minispares, minimania, p&l minis... noone carries 7.5inch shims anymore.

OR is there another trick that I can do to stop them squealing? brakes are fine, stop on a dime. I don't think the squealing effects the performance, it's just annoying! any ideas?

Hi ?,
Wurth make an anti-sqeak compound that comes in a rattle can. It is red and rubbery, you spray it on the piston side of the pads and it works well. I was unable to find anti-squeak shims earlier this year.

Best regards
Al

I used some orange goo made for this purpose. Came in a squeeze bottle, easy to apply to pack of pad. Can't remember the name of it but picked it up from supercheep.

Cheers
Matt
