How much nicer does your mini run with the warmer weather?

30+ degrees today, and I hadn't driven the car for a week. I (accidently) managed to start tit from "cold" without needing the choke. The car ran beautifully today, very smooth and not one shudder, cough, or fart whilst cold. :D

I prefer the colder weather..sure it cough's and farts at first, but once up to temp it loves the cooler air 8)

The hotter air makes my moke even more asthmatic in the mountains :(

Oh believe me, he does!

willy, my temp needle actually moved above the blue zone today, what with the heat and the air-con running.

I'm blaming you and Gaf for the bling problem!

I managed to fit a black plastic, ex-Magna petrol cap on under the Aston cap. On the cap it next to Mitsubishi it reads "unleaded fuel only", so I'm legal.

Haha I sit in traffic and it moves from 'half-way-between-cold-and-normal' up to normal, or slightly above normal.

But this is okay.
Once I get moving again it goes back down to where it usually sits.

And believe me, I'll take any inside lane when I'm in a hurry.
With the 998 its a bit boring, but once I get my Morris on the road, I'll be carving up all over the shop

I can't believe I haven't had any demerit points yet... touch wood!

Wow
30 is nice.
I saw snow on the Mountain just then and apparntly its the coldest place in Aus right now.

The mini spins it's wheels easier in the wet?

Oh yes idling is bad, and i've gotten use to 'bulky' traffic lane things, and i like being in a small car in traffic :)

Not quite. The only times ive been up that mountian its been snowing and raining and too windy for doing anything, except for handbrakies in the carparks NO NO, bad.
But i think i live somewhere near the black circle's
Image
Which is very good, as there are some brilliant bush roads just a few kays away. Actually there is a Targa stage that start 2 kays up the road here too, as well as where i used to live :) And the mini likes to drive in both hot and cold on these roads, and goes great for each.

My current Clubby runs brilliant in cold and heat.

I don't need the choke, even in the cold mornings. And no, it is NOT running rich.

On another note, my choke cable was very tight, so yesterday I went to lube it. Snapped half of the T handle off didn't I ! :x BUGGER!

I love it when it's really cold and the engine is up to temp. POWER!!!

However, it's much easier to live with when it's a bit warmer.
