[quote="miniboy1962"]I've heard somewhere that MX5 seats have speakers inbuilt? Am i crazy/dillusional?? If not, what do they look like?

the early Mx5 seats have them... if the seat are imported ....the seats from Aus have the holes already for speakers to be installed no speakers in them.... Hard to find a set of speakers to put in.. jap place might have them
the late models dont have them at all...

cheers Monster Mini

Awesome, I was thinking of getting some for my cobra but wasn't sure whether they had them inbuilt or not. Might have to keep an eye out.

Sorry i got mini 30th anniverary seats. Sat in them? You wouldn't get out again if ya did haha!! But to answer your question not in a while. BTW about recaro vs recaro copy...mate don't get fooled into brand name crap really, it's a seat not a supercharger. So really recaro may be better quality but is just a brand and something identical to it made by another company is gonna feel the same, not have the label on it and be tons cheaper, i'd go with the fake, but i just don't like wasting money, perhaps you do?

I think the racing seats are comfy for short suburban or city driving
but for highway driving you'll feel cramp or stiff as these type of seats hug you constantly.

You have to compare apples with apples.
Fake recaro's are DEFINITELY not in the same league as Genuines.
Looks are deceiving.

I have Mayfair MK2 seats in my Rover... which are identical to your 30th seats.

Actaully I like the dashboardless look, obviously fot extra carby noise...haha, you got a rover right? (is it carby or injected?) But i thought the mini 30 seats were only on that model, actaully mine may be mayfair seats as that tag that says 'mini 30' isn't there, I just thought that that style was mini 30, so yeah i must have mayfair seats. Got them from steve.
