Yep, I agree, it's impossible to get parts for a car that's been manufactured for 40 years and it would be alot of work to re-hang a door and apply some paint  . This guy obviously only wants to fix broken tail lights!

I reckon you'll get a full respray out of it if you want, ask repairers how much extra to paint the whole car as this is easier for a matching paint point of view and might only cost you 500-1000 maybe (if you want that is).

My Mazda is damaged down the passenger side (from trees, don't ask) and the cost to fix the door and front guard is about 2.5-3.5k  when I asked them how much for a complete respray as well they say maybe couple of hundred extra. This is cause of the metallic and they said they would have to blend half the car anyway, it would be easier to paint the whole thing and the extra cost is just the paint.

Doesnt sound like a panel beater to me

It only takes some knob to say something like that and it would put you off him for life. If he is a true panel beater and enjoys his work he would have never said that in a million years. Lazy B@stard. Who would get their kicks out of replacing the same rear bumper of a commodore 3000 times?

Plenty of decent ones out there...the only two I know are in Wollongong though.

Good luck!

It's funny how people say you can't stereotype, but those guys look (read:dress) EXACTLY how I expected.

It should be legal to just shoot Farkwits like that. :x   :x

Heh yeah, Bob declares Farkwit hunting season open. It's good for everyone, just like culling feral animals. :D

Wonder what the farkwit mating call is? A bit of doof doof from a riced out Lancer or Commonwhore? Cries of "fully sic bro"?

But Em, surely you just need to take that tape down to your local CSI place. I've seen them pull faces out of worse reflections than that on TV. Seriously, what are the cammeras for if you can even see faces? Number plates only?

And I bet if you owned that car and caught them in the act and gave them a flogging you'd get sued. crap, the way things work these days the drunken arsehole could probably fall off the roof of the car and sue someone

Zizzles right Em.
My brother owns a security company who was having trouble with someone being continuosly late. His excuse was that his watch was slow.
After a couple of times using this excuse, Troy decided to pull up some video footage of him signing in....
They came in close enough, and cleanned up the image enough, to see that his wrist watch was displaying the same time as theirs...

Have a talk to someone about it... especially the bit where they are runnig away from the car - toward the camera.

Sorry Em. Had a talk to my brother, sent him the link. He said they were too far away at the car, so the pics got grainy. and they had hoods on running past the camera.

But that was just off the pics you put up... the video footage might be better?
