andrew, i know you know that its not worth it to go after them for renumeration, but if you have the time (with the hsc?) do it so the people get the idea that they cant be so arrogant and absent-minded.

then when theyre on their knees feeling theyre up shiit creek, just walk away and say 'no sweat dont worry about it'

Duc is spot on, you need to work out whether it is worth the effort and frustration to go after them.

Here's a famous quote to mull over..

Saint Francis of Assisi wrote:
Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I used to be pretty good with a machine gun - now that my eyesight has started to fail and I no longer have good night vision I would probably tend to spray the bullets out a bit more. But dont worry this member of the vigilante gang will get the targets - eventually

That is the saddest thing I have ever seen!

So sorry to hear about your car, I can't beleive that people out there joyfully damage and destroy someone elses pride and joy, soemthing that means the world to them and that they work hard to get, maintian and enjoy!

All I hope for is KARMA!!!!

And I disagree with the other comments, I don't believe in giving up as the pursuit is frustrating and not worth the effort, if the pursuit brings someone responsible to justice and trouble then perhaps they will think twice when doing it to someone else.
The bigger picture is that due to your efforts to get them, then maybe you are helping stop this from happening again, perhaps to another mini owner out there. Even though it may be hard, lots of effort and frustrating, I am sure that you have support and backing of everyone on this forum and mini owners everwhere. My 2c worth anyway.

awww crap Emmeline - why can't **** like that just roll up in a corner and die.....

If your insurance company tries to be stupid and write it off - which may be likely - withdraw the claim, we can easily get you a door, take the old door to a paint shop and get them to match the colour, and ask Brad really nicely to spray the door and touch up the other bits and she'll be good as new with her sexy ass....

and as pennance for Josh being an idiot, I reckon you should force him to be Betty's security guard, he can sit in the back whenever she's parked somewhere, and whenever cocks like that come around and try to hurt her, he can................... get scared and run away

:?

Just looking back through it all , anyone able to pick the make of the white car coming around the corner in the shot where Betty's laying on her side ? You know the time it happened and the location , put an add in the paper seeking the driver of the white ?????? car at ???? time ???? a streetasking for information , if you can find them they might be able to remember something (like they got into a yellow ricer with green neons or something that could help ...) . Sorry if this has already been mentioned , I'm still only just getting through all the posts on this one .

Looks to me like a Ford Falcon, late 70's or early 80's (XD, XE, XF)
These pictures really dont make it easy.

Emm, any other cameras anywhere on the opposite side? Anywhere, maybe show where they went/car they got into.

I dont think the driver of this white car would have noticed the car the perps got into... I say this because he/she just came around a corner and there is a car on its side.
Most people would be looking at the car, thinking oh god or I wonder if anyone is in there/hurt, etc... and by the time they looked up and around the perps are gone.

I would still try the newspaper ad idea, just my thoughts above.

Peter.

Thanks for the offer Peter,
I sent the file via email to a friend but it didnt work.
If you have time i would appreciate you having a look to see if you can actually see faces or whatever, but
I was thinkin the same thing as duc + speedy..
Yeah sure I am still angry and sad and all those otehr negative feelings that come with the incident,
but i dont know if I have the energy to track them down.
I work full time and go to uni full time, and on my one day off a week, i want to go and enjoy myself with mates etc - not look for bastards.

I just want her back to how she was and i pretend it never happened and hope that it will never happen.

No sweat Emm,

If you decide to go through it, my offer still stands.
Good luck and see you at MDU!

Peter.

reminds me of a time i was down Lt bourke st in melb, waiting in traffic.... suddenly 3 DRUNK buisnessmen stagger down the road yelling out "look at the little car, i bet you we could pick that up"........ they came closer and closer and when i actually saw them bend down to pick it up from the rear bumper, i put it in reverse...ran into them (they wernt hurt, it just pushed them backwards) and then turned up a side laneway just big enough for a mini to feel tight in and drove off.
people standing around were laughing at the nobs i knocked over, and the mini lived another day.
sorry to hear about your car, anybody that f*cks with another persons car should be locked up and have to pay for all damages.
one time i came back to my car to find sombody thought it was funny to spray paint a line all around my car. luckily the day before i polished my car with mrsheen (try it, works a treat. people use it on thier aircraft aswell) and the spray paint just wiped off :D
there was one time at coles though, somebody shopping trollied my door
ahh the joys of having a car you love

I don't understand how people think its funny to do these things.

There is a boat moared near where I live. The Proud owner of the boat had obviously done a home job on building a cover for it. Its al boxed in. Completely white. it is a bit ugly, but he obviously likes it. Anyway, driving past the other day and someone has graffitied two people having sex on the back of it, and written "up & Down" in capitals under it.

I really think its disgusting how people can have so little respect. And this is the one thing that worries me about getting a mini...

I agree , it doesn't matter if you like something or not , you can say you don't like it for whatever reason , regardless how shallow that reason is , but DON'T TOUCH IT !!! You're entitled to your opinion on things but as soon as you touch it you show yourself to be a worthless , immature and unsympathetic excuse for a human with no regard or respect for other peoples property .

Ok , rant over , I'll get off my soapbox now ....
