molly and i are going from our small town mullumbimby to another small town stanthorpe .

which means going south to Casino then west to Tenterfield then north to Stanthorpe. usualy takes about 4 hours so i'm hoping to do it in 6.

i've loaded molly up with the usual, engine oil, radiator fluid, rags, zip ties and other bits-n-bobs, aswell as socket set, screwdriver set, bent spanners, ciggy lighter tyre pump, 20litre full jerry can, jumper leads, a bit of 1200 sand paper for faulty fuse connection, wd40 and a spare air filter. also got all the tyre pumped up (including the spare which was flatish last time i had to use it )

i hope i make it, and i'll post a ton of pics in the gallery once i have.

oh it is ment to be a 2 day thingo there on saturday morning, back sunday afternoon.


then ont he 12th down to coffs, and leaving on the 15th. still working out details, anyone in coffs who want to go on a bit of a cruize or just a look at minis on the 13th or 14th (hopefully), post here please.

well molly made it, and so did i.

had lots of fun and i'll post pics up in the gallery when i am back on the useull computer.

just out of tentifield i spotted a yellow clubman s in the best of condtion. so i went and talked to the owner and took phots of thier car.

the drive between casino and tentifield is a long but exciting one, all the fourwheel drives and caravan trailers overtook me on the straights because i could only go 90. but on at the end there is a long windy road and you over take them back again.

had lots of fun, and will post some awesome pics later.

btw. my front tyres are bald as. i'll take a phot of them tommorrow. they limited the amount of funness i was having. but i didn't slide one slip.

saturday the 14th would be the beter day to do anything. how about someone appoints a place and time and we al shout if that suits or not.

we are going to be at "park beach" or "the jetty" i don't know where these places are. if people can get there then thats great but let me know. sports 850 how many mini's do you have and where are you and what time would suit you?

Just how bad are the bald front tyres Andrew Put bad tyres on the back of a mini and you'll be doing unintentional circles .



The Jetty would be better , more parking and better area plus easier to find . Turn off the highway from the Northside at harbour drive (center of town) and keep going till you see the whale tail sculpture , then turn right and go over the railway lines , turn right at the roundabout and a couple of hundred meters down you're there .

Andrew , look at the cracks in between the tread on the first picture , now think about what will happen when those cracks become bigger and the tread peels off on the highway . Change them asap or the results will be lethal . The other one on the back that you called the worst is only slightly better than the top one , it's only bald , at least it doesn't have cracks . CHANGE BOTH OF THEM BEFORE COMING TO COFFS !!!!!

Most places should be able to get them in a day or so , especially so close to the gold coast , just order them today or tomorrow and you should have them well before the weekend . What's your spare tyre like ? If it's better than the cracked one put it on straight away .

done and done

after weighing my options of trying to make it down there but them blowing and losing my whole car, or just spending the cash even though i am having them changed soo, but not sure how soon, but being reusured that the tyres will be in better nick, and talking to the man down at tyrpower and him saying that best thing to do, safest thing to do would be change all of them, but if he was a kid still he would just change the front ones and dordle down.

i decided, change the tyres, don't risk losing the whole mini. just loose a couple hundred instead.






had the whole team working on her for a while. they were good and let me hang around and take photos. i didn't get int he way or slow them down though.
