Not the thing you want to hear on such a special event.

Spare a thought for the poor guy (South Australian, cant remember his name) who was driving the other car. He has to LIVE the rest of his life knowing that a rival and a friend died from the impact with his car. That poor young guy will be scarred emotionally and physically for possibly the rest of his life. And his family will have to share his pain too.

Ill be very surprised if he considers racing again.... thats IF he recovers from his injuries.

I saw there were many accidents on that couple of corners this weekend. I wouldnt be surprised to see that section redesigned with a widened run-off or smoother transition, sometiime before next years event.

This was very sad news.

I was sitting about 20m from the accident, and this result is not supprising. But the accident was unavoidable, and it was very luck that more cars were not involved. The second driver did very well to put his car sideways and shed of some speed befor the impact, as he had no where else to go.

This really shows the need for drivers to really slow down under the yellow flag.

My thoughts are with all of the racer, fans and families who are all feeling the pain of this accident.
