So as you can guess by the heading I am looking to paint my mini. To be precise the roof of my clubbie van.
I will be painting the rest but at a later date. The mini is in need of a paint on the roof as it is starting to come off and look shite.

What I am looking for is someone that can give me a hand in doing this. Before you all laugh at me iI am willing to pay for this(the help not the laughter). I know I could pay someone to do the job but would really like to learn to do this my self for later when I paint the rest of the car

I can pay cash or beer and also am a travel agent and can give good mates rates for people on here and even better rates for someone cool enough to help me out ( international mainly but possibly some domestic except dom flights)

Let the mockery commence

DAVID

I dunno much about painting but I'm happy to lend an extra set of hands if you need them (want to learn too, not fussed about payment).

I would happily bring someone down but have limited space (meaning none) and no gear.
Gear could be rented, what about a space?

I have a compressor and a 2bob spray gun... Am a good painter (pressure pack  )

My cuz painted my honda years ago... Did a pretty good job of it too. Problem is space to do it. I could maybe arrange him to paint it for a small fee (for him not me!) if you find a suitable place to do it.

well the roof needs to be painted as the paint is flaking off. The rest will do for a while till I can save up some cash. I am expecting to pay around2.5 to 3 k for a full car spray if i got it done. I thought the roof might give me a chance to get some skills so i could have a go at doing it myself.

I was thinking of a charcoal roof and this colour in the pic but not as dark... more blood red like. I may be dreaming but I like this colour. I know that would be a hard colour as will show up all flaws. There are only a few and only one in the roof and it is a smal lone.

I dont know what paint but heard 2pac is bad for you without the right gear

hey leyland.
Can your cousin teach me how to do it or would he just do the job? Dont mean to be rude in asking that just I am after a learning experience as much as a good paint job.

If this ever does happen feel free to tag along and your help would be greatly appreciated

Not at all. He's one of those guys who can do pretty much whatever he puts his mind to.

Here is a pick of the honda he painted.

im for floss attempting to do it himself.

it may not come out mint (it could) but if you put in some hard work, you'll have somthing to be proud of. and it will be a great PIT learning experenience too.

If you borrow the gear, you can save some dollars :)

Actually im cringing at the thought of it, i had such a hard time with those gadomn gutters. *shudders*

i guess you could do it all for 100$

i also have gear

*shudder*
