IF it's the one that rolled at Forrest's Elbow in the `66 Bathurst race, it's Timo Makinen.
So sez Pedr Davis, in his book `Mini Minor Downunder'.

The one on the left is one of my all time favourites....I had a poster (metre X metre but it was in the old money)...I bought it from Lance J Ruting (now deceased) the famous Motor sport photographer.....

All I can suggest is that you search the website where Lances collection is hosted and it may have the names for each shot.........

If its the one I'm thinking of....and it is Timo....I think he put it on its side, got out, righted it and lost only 20 seconds for the lap (I could be wrong on the driver though....)

Cheers (and beers!!) Mick

It is Alan Cameron in the Easter meeting at Bathurst in 1970.

Back in the old days there were two meetings a year at Bathurst, the endurance race was on the October long weekend and the big meeting was at Easter.

I know nothing about him except that he crashed at the dipper! It looked like he had too much grip unlike when I pranged at the dipper!

I miss real racing and I miss Lance J Ruting as well

Don't forget ....you only remember the good bits!!!

BTW my big boss is a relative of Lance's (same name)...once gave him a Lance J tribute poster and program from a HSRCA meeting as a keepsake which I think he genuinely appreciated....
