ok - this whole topic is worrying as my speed cable is also shafted. Plus I have a 'slight' leak in the fuel tank. ;)

Thanks guys. Loosened up the fan belt a bit and weird squeeling is gone.

Now I just have to fix speedo, fix steering, fix handbrake etc etc etc :)
