I am taking my morris 850 to get a new waterpump tommorow and went outside to start it(as I do afternoons) it started fine but then began to lose revs and then stopped. It the started again fine but same problem. Also when I push the accelrator pedal NOTHING no revs, just says running at the same low rev, I could actuallt press the whole pedal in and it still would stay the same. I haven't taken it for a run for a week and a half but I really need to know what this problem may be as I have to get it to the mechanics tomorrow. Please help guys and girls.

Can you hear the fuel pump tick at all when you turn the ignition on...
If not it may need a swift kick like mine used to.

Undo the lid of the float bowl, see it there's petrol in there.
While it's off, put a tin under it, then get someone to turn ignition on for a few secs.

Throttle cable loose and slipping ????? Or broken ?????

Does it rev if you turn the throttle bit on the carby itself.
