so this topic is not in A series mods chat :P

read it and stop the misinformation. sorry can't help other states, cos i don't live there, but i am sure that you can look it up on your own motor registration authority website.

YOU DO NOT NEED AN ENGINEERS CERTIFICATE TO PUT A 1275 MOTOR IN ANY MINI THAT DOES NOT ORIGINALLY HAVE ONE

clues in the link below, and the first person to reply with the correct answer as to why, i will give you a free standard seat. i will even bring it to MDU for you if you want.

cheers

is it because it is an owner certified modification:: "engine changes where the capacity increase is less than 15% above the maximum size engine available for the
vehicle (providing no major structural modifications are necessary and where noise and/or exhaust emission ADRs apply, all standard equipment such as carburettors, exhaust systems, exhaust gas recirculating valves, oxygen sensors and catalytic convertors relating to noise and emission control are retained and operate correctly);"

as a 1275 falls under part of the max engine size available for the vehicle so A series 1275 is all good because an 850 is an engine of the same vehicle of the same series??

that's right, but where in the document does it say that? (this one is a bit more implicit)

cheers

good too Cush - but that applies to engines that were not originally avaliable for the car. So a 1.6 VTEC honda is cool, probably a 2L one as well if its actual capacity is less than 1950cc etc

cheers

in vic you can fit any A series to any mini aslong as you beef up the rest of the car aswell eg. 1275cc mini's had disc brakes so you need to have them aswell.

Alright here goes..

Mokes are nothing but a trailer, with an A series engine and brakes.
Oh, and a couple of seats too.
