EDITED 20/10/2006 - For those living NW of Sydney and wanting to travel together to MDU on Sunday morning, here is something small we have organised:

Meet at the gates to Pinegrove Cemetary just past Wallgrove Rd on the Great Western Highway (that way if anyone else wants to meet off either the M4 or M7 it's reasonably convenient for them). SEE MAP BELOW

Timing - I'd say get there for 08:30 and aim to leave no later than 08:40
THat way we will get to MDU on Sunday bang on 9am.
:D

I will probably leave The Hills at around 8am +/- a bit.

Anyone else in the area want to travel together? I can't offer a lift as I will have 2 kids + stroller in my Mini.

I was going to head down Windsor Rd and link up with either the Highway or Motorway out to Penrith.

Anton, I wouldn't mind linking up somehow but I strongly suggest people avoid Windsor and Richmond area, so Windsor rd may not be so wise.

The RAAF base at Richmond is having a Major airshow on Sunday and there will be road closures and lots of extra traffic and parking hassles in that area - it caused the postponement of the state khanacross round that was to be run at ansell park next door that I was involved in.

Maybe come across through Parklea and head out either the M4 or Great Western Hwy?

Great Western Highway is a go-er. I can meet you along there somewhere. Pick a cross street and a time?!?

How about the footpath at the gates to Pinegrove Cemetary just past wallgrove rd (that way if anyone else wants to meet off either the M4 or M7 it's reasonably convenient for them).

Correct,

Visually it is just past the petrol station on the left. I was going to say in the petrol station itself, but it is not that big with regard to extra parking, and I can't remember what brand it is (Mobil?).

Pinegrove has some large sandstone or brick wall gates. I was just going to park out the front of those, suitably off the road.
