No it just fits without any cutting. But the only filter that fits on is a Ramflo RF445 P5S offset.
Here's a pic of a manifold (same) with a 40 Dellorto and 2 of my stubstacks.. they go inside the filter body.

48 Dellorto is just a 45 with 48mm butterflies. Takes the same chokes as a 45. 8)

<edit> Lynx swan neck is not the greatest manifold ever made, no. I had one once.. :shock:

New Redline 3005 manifold $160 approx,
45 Dellortos go from $100 up, S/H.. or go a 45 DCOE Weber- same horse different spots more $$$.. :wink:

BTW they still sell NEW Dellortos in UK, around $750 shipped here.. you can do better than that.. :lol:
I think NEW Webers here are well over $500 now.

To make a 45 work properly on a Redline manifold takes some serious porting. I spent 5 hours in mine with the die grinder, it went better so I spent another 4 hours on it. Now it's better still.. :shock: .

No Cryptic here..I'm just saying That I have two....One I'm willing to Sell 4 $150 but it will need a clean up.
