How much did you guys pay to get front and rear seats re-trimmed?

I have had a quote for $500 for vinyl/ microsuade seats.... Thats a good price isn't it??

If thats for front and back seats, then yes that is a good price. My back seat alone was $400. My mate just had his HQ Monaro done, that set him back $2500.

In Y2K it cost me $2,000 to have 4 seats rebolstered and then trimmed in half velour / suede (the real stuff)........ so $500 per bum rest..... and then the embroidered logos cost me extra

For the same price, I couldve had all leather. And the leather wouldve lasted longer too. After 5 years, the velour faded and the suede had heavy wear marks.

If you intend doing this to a show car, I suggest using seat covers OVER the new trim to protect the new fabric from sun damage and dirt off your clothes.

$500 sounds like a fair price to me, then again it all depends on what your getting done, are you getting piping, any new foam added?

A new interior truly does finsh a restored mini off! Unfortunately to keep them looking awesome you do need covers. So I went half way and, from brickworx bought front and rear half leather seats. Cost 500 for the set but were perfect (not so anymore but aboit 99%). It's sad cos I love the look of my seats but my car is an everyday driver so I really should get covers but hey, I can always buy another rover interior when these bite the dust! PS I gave my original rear seat to craig goss and he got it retrimmed for a decent price and looks awesome, its great to see 40 year old stuff being reused!

I need to get my driver seat re-trimmed so it will pass a road worthy check. Slinkey inc can you please explain your half and half seats. I'm a bit confused. Im not sure if i should get leather or the original vinyl. Slinkey are you a member of Hot Bricks or the mini club of sa?
