Okay, what's interesting about this photo of the footwell of our MkII 850?

A closer look reveals....

Fungus. Growing in the damp carpet. This car is on the verge of a restoration, inside and out, so I'll sort the source of the dampness (aside from Wellington's absolutely crap weather recently which has been so farquing wet, you wouldn't believe. A little global warming would be nice...)

I know there's a hole in the gutter above the windscreen, but I think it's somewhere under the dash.

Aren't you glad I shared?

I once parked a car in my work's carpark in England over a long weekend while we went away, came back on tuesday to find mushrooms growing out of the carpet. :D

Fungi eh ?

I thought they were prawn chips that hadn't been either fried or micro-waved

Dad's mate's got a spare F100 truck. He's growing a whole flat bed of hay and lucerne in the back! LOL!

eeeewwwwww...... :x

I thought they were nut shells in the first pic. In fact, I can't say I have ever seen fungus like that before.

How are your floor pans, with all that moisture in your carpet?

I'm going to be lifting the carpets next weekend. Hopefully the floorpan won't need replacing but I'm preparing myself mentally for patching some small holes.
