adjusted the handbrake the other week. still good. buty the park brake light now is on with the handbrake lever completely down, and turns off when pulled up to before the first click. after clicks its still on. and when i wiggle it around a bit the light goes off.

faulty switch???

ALSO, i got in and turned the ignition on last night at the shops, and all i can hear is this whirring sound??? immediate thought was i was boiling. but my cooling has been behaving lately (actually, my whole mini has, with good fuel economy too!) and the noise stopped when i turned the ignition off. so i got out and had a listen, popped the bonnet. could hear it real well. sounds like its coming from near the clutch arm. then i click. its my wiper washer motor but wasnt squirting any water. so i was going to just unplug it, but as soon as i touched the wires it stopped?????

i'm thinking i ahve a major electrical issue somewhere, as my reverse lights are on a manual switch, and my interior light no longer works
