did you drive it on the road with no screens?

I did that once...you need goggles so the wind doesn't sting your eyes!

no front or rear screen, temp guage not working,
no lights and the car is in bare metal, so if the police
had of seen the cafr i would have been in a little bit
of trouble, but i was only driving it round a tiny quiet
street and down the lane so there were no other
cars round. but it was soo fun. only one bug in my mouth

Forget goggles, you need a mask so you aren't picking bugs out of yer teeth!

They get caught in your teeth cos you grin when you are driving a Mini! :D

Cheers,

I'd forgotten how much fun they were too until I rode in one a while back, I enjoyed it so much I sold my nice comfy Sonata and bought a clubby
I took mine in to get the twin SU's tuned last Friday only to find out they are untunable at the moment because of a leaky manifold gasket, waiting on one to turn up so I can try and get it tuned again  At the moment it's worse than before I took it in, they were playing with the mixtures and she's really rough right now.

......

A few years ago I had the choice of keeping my three year old Excel GX (which I had bought new) and using it for the daily commute or driving the Minivan every day. Guess which one ended up in the Trading Post! :D

EDIT: Fitted a rebuilt Mini K remote box last weekend fitted with a 3.44 diff and pot joints. The van is now such a pleasure to drive and a good deal quieter without all the gearbox whines the old box was making. I can't stop grinning!

I'm putting my houses on the market this week so I can move to Gin Gin and buy a large block with a triple garage or room to build one and put a mechanics pit in it. Then I intend on getting a few project minis including a van 8)

I really love my wagon. I just love opening the back and throwing whatever in.
