Looking for a flywheel puller for hopefully one quick job. Was hoping for this arvo but if too soon then some time this week.

Would like to make Kev's puller but can't get my hands on the steel plate. Anyone have some spare 3/8 plate?

Edit:Just found and old BBQ that may work but still need a puller in the short term

I rigged up a puller using the middle part of an old flywheel and a couple of head studs. Works great. You can come around & borrow it if you want. Windsor near centre of Bris.

Hi David,

You have ordered the sykes pikuvant remover? They are very good, however buy some quality high tensile bolts from your local bolt place to replace the standard ones in the kit. (Make sure you replace the right ones, as they include bolts to suit the A+ flywheel as well.)

The standard ones just strip their threads in the flywheel, and you run the risk of damaging the flywheel threads at the same time.

The high tensile bolts fix this!

I've notice that a PO (or someone) has at least tried to get the flywheel off. There are some "persuasion" marks on the centre cone and one of the holes for the puller bolts has a chunk out of one side - fortunately only about 2 threads missing on that side and there is a smaller piece missing off the lip of another hole, so I don't wish to risk further damage.

Question: with a piece missing like that would the balance be affected to the extent a rebalance of the flywheel would be in order?
